Street Party

The residents of Melville Avenue and Castlemaine Avenue got together to hold a street party at the week-end. From the very first Whatsapp message suggesting it, there was a great deal of interest and lots of people from the area were suddenly talking to their neighbours and offering to bring things to the party. The day before it happened, someone suggested that Kingsfolk should come and bring some music to the event. It was definitely an impromptu performance, but we certainly added a lively atmosphere to the event. Judy led a few dances and the band played a whole set of folk tunes.
