Bernie Cameron - Anniversary

This 40th Wedding Anniversary was full of energy. Judy was the caller and kept the dancing going until it was time to go home. We discovered that Bernie Cameron had been a really powerful campaigner for better housing in the area around Bow and Mile End. He had arrived in London during the Second World War as a refugee from Nazi Germany and spent most of his life supporting and fighting for the most vulnerable people in society. Lovely to see that this centre is associated with such a great man.
