About Kingsfolk

Kingsfolk is an exciting ceilidh band, based in South London, but playing for events all over Kent, Surrey and Sussex. We play a range of traditional folk tunes, but we give them a lively bounce and we create a vibrant atmosphere.

If asked for a Barn Dance, we introduce a few American favourites, but our repertoire features mostly Scottish and Irish music. The dances are lively and easy to learn and they are great fun for any occasion.

No experience is necessary because our experienced caller will explain the moves and get everyone to walk through the steps for each dance. We play them at a pace that is suitable for the crowd. We don't want anyone to feel left out.

Our line up includes accordion, violin, bass and drums, but this varies depending upon which players are available and the level of service required.
